Rishabh Shetty’s self-directed film ‘Kanthara’ has earned a rare honor. The film is going to be screened today at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. The Global Affairs Department of the United Nations has stated in a statement that the film will be watched by representatives of various countries and hero Rishabh Shetty will give a special speech on this occasion. The movie ‘Kantara’ which was released in Kannada last year was translated into various Indian languages and became a huge success at the pan-India level.
‘Kanthara’ is a devotional action thriller set in the background of Bhutakola deity worship and forest children’s struggle for existence from Dakshina Kannada. The film crew expressed their happiness that the recent screening at the United Nations is a great honor for Indian cinema. The film team of ‘Kantara’ said that Rishabh Shetty will speak on the international stage of Indian cinema, environmental changes and conservation issues on the stage of the United Nations. The film is produced by Vijay Kirangadur under the banner of Hombale Films. Director Rishabh Shetty is currently preparing for the prequel of this film.
