Top hero Venkatesh has achieved many memorable achievements in his long career. He has mostly acted in family drama films and has won the admiration of the audience. ‘Saindhav’ is his 75th film. Shailesh Kolanu, who proved himself as a talented director with Hit and Hit-2, directed the film. As an action thriller, let’s see how much this Sankranti movie has pleased the audience.
About the story..
Saindhav (Venkatesh) works as an employee at a port named Chandraprastha. Daughter Gayatri (Baby Sara) means Panchapranas. Saindhav develops intimacy with another woman, Mano (Shraddha Srinath), who is estranged from her husband. Child Gayatri accidentally suffers from a rare disease called spinal muscular atrophy. A costly injection of 17 crores is required to cure it. What did Saindhav alias Psycho do in this background? What kind of fight does Saindhav have with child trafficker Vikas Malik (Nawazuddin Siddiqui)? Can he finally save his daughter? Or? That is the story of this movie..
In the background of a fictional city called Chandraprastha, the director directed this story with father-daughter relationship mainly with action and mafia elements. Director Shailesh Kolanu, who is known as a master in making thriller films, has guided the plot of this thriller around the sentiment of his daughter. A dangerous gang of child traffickers, a father who fights with them, his flashback whom no one knows. But like the previous films, director Shailesh Kolanu could not make his own mark. The story and stories went on without any exciting twists. Especially the emotions in the story are not very ripe. The point of seventeen crore injection seems to be an interesting element. The scenes woven in the background were also interesting. It feels minuscule to drive the story with action elements leaving aside the emotions. Recently, it has become a trend to tell family stories with intense action elements. Director Shailesh Kolanu has followed the same formula in this film as well. In the first half, the story and the stories seem a bit interesting. Ecclemax episodes are also not very flattering.
Performance of actors..
Venkatesh impressed with his performance as Saindhav alias Psycho. There is no need to say anything special about Venkatesh’s performance in this type of action and emotion characters. Director Shailesh Kolanu tried to reinvent Venkatesh in a new way. His looks are stylish. Nawazuddin Siddiqui cultivated his own villainy. The way he designed his character is good. Shraddha Srinath, Andrea, Ruhani Sharma, Mukesh Rushi, Jayaprakash acted in the range. Technically, this movie was also made with high standards. The way cinematographer Manikandan has shown the background of Indraprastha is impressive. Santhosh Narayanan’s songs and background music are good. There is no compromise in terms of construction. But I feel that the director would have paid more attention to this story
Powerful performance by Venkatesh
Superior technical and architectural values
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character
Emotions are missing in the story
An unimpressive second half
