HC notice to Censor Board on plea against ‘Adipurush’, hearing to be held next month

South industry superstar Prabhas is constantly facing controversies regarding his upcoming film ‘Adipurush’. Ever since the trailer of the film has been released, since then people are raising voice against this film. In the film, questions are being raised from the looks of the tenants to the story. The stars as well as the fans have high hopes from this mega budget film directed by film director Om Raut. There has been a lot of controversy regarding the look of Lord Ram to Ravana shown in the teaser.

There has also been a demand to ban this film on social media. However, for the last several days, this matter seemed a bit calm. But once again this matter has caught fire. Recently, the Allahabad High Court had sought an answer from the Censor Board regarding ‘Adipurush’. Actually a petition has been filed against this film. According to which the filmmakers had released the promo of Adipurush without the certificate and this step is against the rules.

On this petition, a public interest litigation has been filed against the film Adipurush in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today. After the hearing, the court issued a notice to the Film Censor Board of India. Now the next hearing in this matter will be on February 21. A division bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice BR Singh passed this order on a PIL filed by Kuldeep Tiwari.

The petition claimed that the makers of the film released the promo of the film without obtaining a certificate from the censor board, which is in violation of the rules. While talking about the film, the story of Adipurush is based on Ramayana. Apart from Prabhas, stars like Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdutt Nage are also present in the film. People have expressed a lot of displeasure over the looks of the characters shown in the teaser of the film.
