Dasara Movie | Nani, who once exploded with a series of hits, has become a bit dull lately. In the last two or three years, I have not been getting expected films from Nani. Nani’s fans are eagerly waiting for his comeback. In this process, Nani is also coming out of his comfort genre and is ready to get the audience’s appreciation with an out-out mass commercial movie called Dussehra. With the desire to become a Pan India hero with the movie ‘Dussehra’, Nani is promoting this movie vigorously in Telugu as well as in Tamil and Hindi languages. Apart from that, there is no compromise in terms of quality in order to give the audience the feeling that it has been directly screened in the respective languages, unlike a dubbed movie. The best dubbing artists and singers were taken. For this, it cost twice the estimates made earlier by the makers. And efforts are being made to sell the rights of this film in the Hindi belt in the range of Rs.15 crores. In view of the current craze for South movies, the distributors there are also saying that the rate is okay.
But here is the big problem. This movie has to collect at least Rs. 30 crore gross to become a hit on the Hindi belt. Ajay Devgan starrer Bhola is going to release on the same day. Even though it is a remake of the movie, the recently released trailer has created huge expectations among the Hindi audience. Moreover, even if Ajay Devgn’s current form gets some positive talk, Bhola will do well at the Hindi box office. It remains to be seen whether this movie will survive the competition or not.
And if the Hindi situation is like this, Dussehra will have to compete with two films in Tamil simultaneously. Simbu, who returned to form with the films Manadu and Vendu Tanindu Nahi, is coming with Pattu Thala on the same day. This movie is a remake of Mufti which was a blockbuster success in Kannada. The recently released trailer has created a craze for the movie. Along with this, the makers are making preparations to release Vijay Sethupathi-Vetrimaran combo’s Viduthalai on the same day. There are a range of expectations on this movie in Tamil. The trailer got millions of views within hours of its release. I faced stiff competition in two big markets. It remains to be seen whether this film will survive the competition and win Dussehra.
