Case Filed: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was booked for cheating, he was accused of this

Hyderabad police arrested filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (Ram Gopal Varma) A case has been registered against him for cheating of Rs 56 lakh from a production house. This complaint against Ramgopal Varma Kodappa Shekhar Raju of Shekhara Art Creations (Kodappa Sekhar Raju) has registered. This case was registered at Miyapur Police Station under Cyberabad Police Commissioner. In fact, it has been said in the complaint that Ram Gopal Varma had done a film ‘Disha’ with Kodappa Shekhar Raju. (Disha) And for this he promised him that he would return the money before the release of the film but he did not pay the money.

Was told to return the money within 6 months

Raju told the police that he had met Ram Gopal Varma a few years ago through a common friend, Ramana Reddy. It has been said in the complaint that in January of the year 2020, he gave 8 lakh rupees and then a few days later he gave 20 lakh rupees. Ram Gopal Varma, who is a famous filmmaker, had promised that he would return all this money within 6 months. Raju said that Ram Gopal Varma had approached him in the year 2020 and after that he took the remaining 28 lakhs saying that he was going through financial problem.

The complaint further states that, Ram Gopal Varma had promised that he would return all the money before the release of the film. But in January of the year 2021, I came to know that he is not the producer of this film. After which he realized that the filmmaker had cheated him. And now, sections 406 (breach of criminal trust), 417 (punishment for cheating), 420 (cheating) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been registered against Ram Gopal Varma.

The film ‘Disha’ was based on the real incident of Hyderabad.

Recently, Ram Gopal Varma announced that he is producing a film titled ‘Disha Encounter’ which was based on the gang rape and murder of a veterinarian in Hyderabad in the year 2019. Four people had done this incident. However, he was later killed by the police in an encounter. Disa’s family then went to the Telangana High Court to demand a ban on the film.
