Popular Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik (67) passed away in Delhi on Thursday. He had gone to a friend’s house in Gurugram to participate in the Holi celebrations and died of a heart attack in the early hours of the morning. Born in Haryana in 1956, Satish Kaushik started his career as a theater artist at the National School of Drama. His dialogues in ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ became popular. Later he excelled as a comedy actor, writer and director in Hindi cinema. He impressed with his performance in almost a hundred films.
He directed successful films like ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, ‘Prem’, ‘Tere Naam’ and ‘Shaadi Se Pehle’. His roles in movies like Mr. India, Rajaji, Utsav, Sagar, Baaghi 3, Deewana Mastana got good recognition. Ram Lakhan and Saajan received Filmfare Awards for Best Comedian for Saajan Chale Sasural. Many Bollywood celebrities have expressed their grief over the death of Satish Kaushik.
