Sultan will remain a special film in Balayya’s career. After an industry hit like Samarasimha Reddy, this movie was released with huge expectations. Balayya played eight roles in this movie. Sultan hit the theaters on May 27, 1999 with a huge cast. But this movie got negative talk from the critics on the first day. The film received mixed reviews. Everyone who saw the movie said it was not good. But after Samarasimha Reddy, everyone imagined Balayya in that range and went to theaters, Sultan was not liked by many.
