Naseem hit the pitch with a hammer

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah did such a thing that everyone was surprised. He got a hammer from the pitch curator and started hitting the pitch. Actually, footmarks were made on the pitch and to remove them, Naseem called for a hammer and hit the pitch. During this, the pitch curator stood near Naseem and kept watching. During this, Captain Babar Azam was also standing near Naseem watching him.

Naseem hammered the pitch for about 30 seconds and then gave it back to the pitch curator and sent him out. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has uploaded this video on its official Twitter.

Controversy over the pitch

These pitches are being made absolutely flat, which have everything for the batsmen but nothing for the bowlers. Many people have described these pitches as road-like pitches. Recently, former New Zealand fast bowler Simon Doull raised questions about these pitches. He had said that from where the order to make such pitches comes to the curator.
