These three coaches will support VVS Laxman in Team India, will take charge from South Africa to Ireland tour

The next few weeks are going to be very busy for the Indian cricket team. Team India is currently playing T20 series against South Africa and will tour Ireland and England after that. In such a situation, different teams will be in Europe for both the series at the same time. But this is not limited to the players only, but to meet these needs, the coaching staff is also being attached specially with the team. This is the reason why former veteran batsman VVS Laxman will be sent with the team to Ireland to fill the place of Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid and his associates. At the same time, National Cricket Academy coaches Sitanshu Kotak, Sairaj Bahule and Munish Bali will also go to support Laxman.

The Indian team will go on a short tour of Ireland later this month, where two T20 matches will be played between Team India and Ireland. The responsibility of Team India for this tour has been given to NCA chief Laxman and only NCA coach will accompany him. According to the report of news agency PTI, Kotak has been a part of India A team in the past as well. He will be the batting coach, while Bali and Bahule have been given the responsibility of fielding and bowling respectively. Both of them were part of the India-19 team’s World Cup campaign in the West Indies earlier this year.

Assistant coach became part of Team India

On the tour of Ireland, the Indian team will play two matches on 26 and 28 June. Head coach Rahul Dravid along with other senior support members will leave for England with the Test team later this week. In such a situation, the trio of Bali, Kotak and Bahule have already joined the Indian team playing the current T20 series against South Africa. A BCCI official told PTI,

Bali, Kotak and Bahutule will accompany the national team during the last two matches of the ongoing T20I series against South Africa (Rajkot and Bengaluru) after the senior support staff leaves for the England tour.

The BCCI official also added, “He is already with the limited overs team and will be ready for his role when the senior support member travels to England.”

Team of T20 experts will go to Ireland

The team for this series has not been announced yet. India will mainly field a team of T20 specialists against Ireland, but a strong Indian team will take the field in the limited overs series to be played on the tour of England. Three ODIs and as many T20 matches will be played in this series starting from July 7. The Indian team is leading 2-1 in the Test series against England and its fifth match will be from July 1. Before this match, the team will play a practice match against Leicestershire from June 24 to 27.
