Arshdeep Singh’s childhood coach Jaswant Rai said in a conversation with The Indian Express, “His control over the batsmen in the death overs in IPL 2022 has been amazing. He is one of the bowlers with the best average in the death overs in the league. He has shown the ability to both stop runs and take wickets in the death overs. This was the reason that he was able to come in the eyes of the selectors and he has been selected in Team India playing T20 from South Africa.

Arshdeep’s coach says, “I have taught him bowling apart from watching the slow motion of his bowling, by showing videos of Wasim Akram’s bowling. I showed him the bouncers of Wasim Akram. He used to bowl using the crease like Akram, he has taught bowling by showing all.
Travel 50 KM daily in the passion of playing India!
Arshdeep’s house is in Kharar, Punjab. When cricket became a passion, he was enrolled in Jaswant Rai’s Academy in Chandigarh. The distance from Kharar to Chandigarh is about 25 kms. Coach Jaswant Rai says, “Arshdeep used to come to Chandigarh from Kharar on his cycle twice every day. During that time I was sure that it will go a long way and one day India will play.
