ICC T20 World Cup 2022 I still have two and a half months left. In such a situation, if Team India has any kind of problem, then it can be overcome. However, a problem has come in front of the Indian team, which seems to be proving to be a big threat. This trouble is the team’s vice-captain and star opener KL Rahul of fitness. Rahul is once again in the grip of injury, due to which he has not been selected for the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
Team India announcement
On Saturday 30 July, the BCCI announced the squad for Team India’s tour of Zimbabwe. The command of this team selected for the ODI series was handed over to Shikhar Dhawan. This raised questions about Rahul’s availability, as he had to get the command in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Since then, it was being speculated again that perhaps Rahul is not fully fit.

Rahul’s injury resurfaced
Now the information about the correct situation has come to the fore in this case. News agency PTI has reported that Rahul’s hamstring injury has re-emerged. The report quoted a BCCI source as saying,
Rahul has recovered from Kovid-19 but his leg muscle injury seems to have resurfaced. He was likely to be picked for the Zimbabwe tour but it is not yet decided when he will return.
Haven’t played cricket since IPL
Rahul has not played any cricket since IPL 2022. He was injured just before the T20 series against South Africa in June, after which he went to Germany for surgery. After surgery from Germany, Rahul completed his rehabilitation at the NCA and was selected for the T20 series in the West Indies, but just before that he was hit by a corona infection and could not go on the tour.
