Compared to the non-veg diet, this diet reduced total cholesterol by half a point (0.5 mmol/L) and LDL ie bed cholesterol by 0.39 (mmol/L). Research has shown that people who have taken a plant-based diet on a daily basis have reduced the level of bad cholesterol. Doctors say that if cholesterol remains under control, then the risk of heart attack is greatly reduced. Plant-based diet can prevent heart disease.
