Fast pace of vaccination in the country

He further said in his tweet that more than 80 percent of the adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years have received the first dose of corona vaccine. Let us inform that on March 16, the vaccination campaign was started for the age group of 12 to 14 years in the country. So far, more than 3.30 crore adolescents of this age group have received the first dose of corona vaccine.
Vaccination campaign started in the country last year
The vaccination campaign was started across the country on 16 January last year to protect people from corona virus infection in the country. It was described by India as the world’s largest vaccination campaign. In this, health workers were vaccinated in the first phase. Apart from this, vaccination of frontline workers started on February 2 last year. The next phase of vaccination began on March 1 for people above 60 years of age and those 45 or older with serious illnesses. Vaccination was introduced from April 1 last year to all people above the age of 45 years and from May 1 to all those above the age of 18 years.
People in the country are getting precaution dose
On January 10 this year, the Government of India had also started giving precaution doses to healthcare workers, frontline workers and people above 60 years of age. After this, on April 10, the campaign to apply preconception dose to all people above 18 years of age in the country was started.
