Bruce Lee died due to drinking too much water, know from experts how overhydration can cause kidney damage

Hitansha Tagra: Results of a research conducted by a group of kidney specialists in Spain The Clinical Kidney Journal published in the December 2022 issue of bruce lee death Must have been caused by drinking too much water. He died in July 1973 at the age of 32 and almost 50 years after this research has thrown light on the cause of death of the famous actor and martial arts expert. The new study suggests that the reason for his untimely death was the inability of his kidneys to excrete excess water from the body.

Even at the time of his death, officials did not consider cerebral edema or swelling of the brain as the cause of his death due to a reaction to painkillers. It has been reported in the study that hyponatraemia (hyponatraemia) risk factors were seen in Lee’s body. In this situation, the level of sodium in the blood becomes very low. Researchers have claimed that Lee may have been on a fluid diet at the time and may have been consuming an unusually high amount of fluids. It has also been claimed that Lee must have been taking ganja at that time, due to which the thirst increases a lot.

Drink enough fluid to keep the body hydrated, but how much is right

According to Dr. Savla, drinking eight to 12 glasses of water a day is sufficient for people living at home. But if you work outside then drink water when you are thirsty. This quantity will probably be only one liter extra.

If someone has heart disease or kidney problem, then it is necessary to consult a doctor before drinking eight to 12 glasses of water. How much water they should drink in a day depends on the health, age and organ condition of the person. Therefore such patients should consult their doctor for the right advice. In most cases, patients with severe heart or kidney problems are advised by doctors not to consume more than one liter of fluid a day, including water.

Drinking an extra glass of water in such patients may mean putting pressure on the already affected kidney due to which the kidney is not able to excrete it out of the body. This leads to water retention in the feet, hands, or even around the lungs and leads to swelling. In such a situation, there may be difficulty in breathing and health related problems may become more complicated.

Drinking more water during the day can also cause these problems:

– Nausea
– Vomiting
– muscle weakness and cramps
– feeling tired
– Headache

Study finds kidney failure to be cause of Lee’s death

It has been written in the study that there were many risk factors in Lee’s body which were pushing him towards hyponatremia. Actually the homeostasis mechanism of his body was deteriorating. The job of this system is to control both water intake and water excretion. We believe that Bruce Lee died of a specific kidney problem in which the kidneys are not able to excrete enough water from the body to maintain water homeostasis.

According to the researchers, this condition can lead to hyponatremia, cerebral edema and if the balance of water intake and water excretion through urine is disturbed, a person can die within a few hours. The same is visible in the timeline of Lee’s death.

The researchers concluded that even though 60 percent of our body is water, this fact does not protect us from the potentially fatal consequences of drinking too much water because it is the kidneys’ responsibility to remove excess water from the body. Ironically, while Lee tried to make water his friend, drinking too much water eventually led to his premature death.
