Legendary director Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyan Selvan is his dream project. This periodical action movie, which opened in two parts, starred Chiyan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sobhita Dhulipalla, Prakashraj, Sarathkumar and others in lead roles. Ponennial Selvan Part was released last year and became a super hit. About Rs. 600 was collected. It received record views in OTT as well. And on April 28, the movie part 2 was released as a grand release. This movie, which was a superhit than the first part, has rained collections at the box office. It became the highest opening Tamil film at the worldwide box office. Movie lovers are eagerly waiting for the OTT release of Ponnian Selvan 2, which became a super hit in the theatres. But now the wait is over. The leading OTT platform Amazon Prime has acquired the digital rights of Ponnayan Selvan 2 for around 120 crores. Now the movie is ready for OTT streaming.
Ponniyan Selvan 2 will be streaming on Amazon Prime from May 26. But first it will be streaming on the basis of rental service. From the second week of June, it will be available for free to Amazon subscribers. Ponniin Selvan-2 is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. Oscar Academy Award winning composer AR Rahman has composed the music for the film. And those who missed Ponniyan Selvan 2 in theaters can enjoy watching it in OTT.
