Vivek Agnihotri Contempt Case: Bollywood director Vivek Agnihotri has been directed by the Delhi High Court to personally appear before the court in a 2018 contempt case. The matter is old and it is being heard by a two-judge bench of the Delhi High Court. During the hearing on Thursday, Vivek Agnihotri’s lawyer told the court that the filmmaker has fever and will not be able to appear in the court today. On this, the court ordered that Vivek Agnihotri would have to personally appear in the court on 10 April. Talking about the case, regarding this contempt case related to the year 2018, the court told Vivek that- ‘We are directing you to appear in court personally. You tell till when you can appear in the court.

After this, the court has directed Vivek Agnihotri to appear in the court on the 10th. In this case, Justice Siddharth Mridul is heading the bench while Justice Talwant Singh is the second judge.
What is the whole matter?
Talking about the case, a case of contempt was registered against Vivek Agnihotri, who is known for his outspokenness, and some others, on the remarks made about Justice Muralidhar. For this, Vivek has apologized by sending an affidavit in December. But even after this, the court believes that Vivek Agnihotri should come to the court and give his explanation and apologize.
